1. About the service

Vurmify is an educational service that teaches the basics of personal finance and investing through lessons, quizzes, exams and a play-money simulator. The service is provided by Jacob Melin and Jonathan Yttergård, private individuals ("we", "us").

By using Vurmify you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Vurmify is education - not financial advice

This is the most important section in these terms.

• Everything in Vurmify is general education and information.
• We do not provide investment advice, and nothing in the service is a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument.
• We are not supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and are not licensed to conduct securities business or investment advisory services.
• The content does not take your financial situation, your goals or your risk tolerance into account.
• Investing involves risk. You can lose money. Past or simulated returns are never a guarantee of future results.
• You are responsible for your own financial decisions. If you need advice tailored to your situation, speak to a licensed adviser.

2.1 About the practice portfolio

The simulator uses play money and a fictional fund. No real money is invested, no real instruments are bought or sold, and no real accounts are connected. The returns are a model - an illustration of how compounding and risk work, not a forecast.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for activity that takes place through your account.
• You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. If you choose Google, your Vurmify account is protected by the security of your Google account, so keeping that account secure is your responsibility. If you lose access to your Google account, you also lose your way into Vurmify.
• An account is personal and must not be shared.
• If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and contact us.
• Age limit: you must be at least 13 years old to create an account (see section 9 of the privacy policy).

4. How the service may be used

You may use Vurmify for personal, non-commercial learning.

You may not:

• attempt to manipulate points, streaks, leaderboards or leagues, or circumvent the service's protective mechanisms
• use automated tools to scrape, mass-request or overload the service
• attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• choose a display name that is offensive, misleading or impersonates someone else (including us)
• copy, republish or sell our content without written permission

We reserve the right to reset points obtained through manipulation and to suspend accounts that breach these terms.

4.1 Reporting violations

If you see a display name, a behaviour or any other content in the service that breaches these terms or the law, you can report it to [email protected]. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts where there has been a breach.

5. Content and intellectual property

All content in Vurmify - lesson texts, questions, graphics, mascot, code and trade mark - belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You may use it for your own learning, but not republish or commercialise it.

5.1 Feedback and suggestions

If you send us ideas, suggestions or comments, we may use them freely to develop the service, without compensation or any obligation to you. You do not have to send us feedback, but if you do, you waive any claims connected to our use of it.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time. We will give notice in the app of any significant changes.

The service is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the content is complete, error-free or up to date. Financial rules, taxes and products change over time.

7. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for financial decisions you make, or for losses arising from such decisions. As the service is currently provided free of charge, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that may not be limited under mandatory law, and your rights as a consumer under mandatory consumer legislation are unaffected.

8. Paid services

There are no paid services today - Vurmify is free. If we introduce paid features, we will supplement these terms with clear information about price (including VAT), renewal and cancellation, the right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act, and refund rules, before any payment can take place.

9. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion is permanent.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, as a rule after a warning except in cases of serious breach.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give notice in the app of any significant changes. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

Swedish law applies. Disputes are heard by the Swedish general courts. As a consumer you may also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), arn.se.

12. Miscellaneous

• Invalid provision: if a provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, this does not affect the remaining provisions, which continue to apply.
• Assignment: we may assign our rights and obligations under these terms, for example if the operation of Vurmify passes to a company or a new operator. Your rights under these terms and under mandatory law are unaffected. You cannot transfer your account to anyone else.
• No waiver: if we do not enforce a right under these terms on a given occasion, that does not mean we waive it for the future.
• Entire agreement: these terms and the privacy policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
